From the 12th-16th, I went with my first host family skiing in Italy. We were really high up on the mountains and everything was white and really wonderful to look at, something we don’t see in Australia too.
I attended lessons early in the morning on Monday and Tuesday, however I was too scared to keep going so I stopped as I felt I was pulling back my classmates.
Instead I had a solo lessons on Wednesday, didn’t do anything on Thursday, then ski on Friday with friends I made on the trip.
We left early on the Saturday morning and took a 12 hour trip back home.
On the 22nd, I went with my French class to see a movie called “Knock”. I fell asleep half way through because I was really tired and didn’t know what was happening. From what I did see though is that a man pretended to be a doctor to escape some thugs and after 5 years of traveling, he settled down at a town. Later on someone dies at the town and I believe the priest was blaming him, however it’s hard to tell when I don’t understand anything.
On the 23rd, we went to a concert in France for a guy called Rag ‘N’ Bone Man. He is a really good singer and everyone loved Grace Carter, a singer who appeared before him and was a really good opening.
We stayed the night at a hotel in France and decided to walk around the next day. For lunch, we went to a small restaurant and for the entree I tried duck for the first time. It was really interesting but the taste wasn’t too much different from other forms of meat.
